The performer asks any three spectators to think of any four or five digit number. A note pad is handed to the first spectator who is asked to write down the number he thought of....the others do the same. Meanwhile the performer writes down a prediction and seals it in an envelope. The numbers in the pad are added up by a fourth spectator and the resulting number is shown to match the performer's prediction.
